NEW: Swedish Fiddle Tunes Album

Since the release of my tunebook "Swedish Fiddle Tunes" 8 years ago, I have received numerous requests for an accompanying recording which has always proved daunting considering there's almost a hundred tunes in the book! However, I have finally chosen 24 tunes from the first half of the book. And who's to say there shouldn't be "another selection" at some later date!

You can download the album from Bandcamp here.

Bright Young Folk Logo Review Quote Rowan Piggott
"There are many accomplished fiddle players playing today, old and young. Rarer are those who can combine their playing with singing of such clarity and quality. Rowan Piggott is assuredly the latter... Accentuated by the crispness of his fiddle playing, his vocals are a standout among the increasingly crowded group of emerging talents on the British scene."

The Living Tradition – Next Generation

"...here is one of a new generation who is passionate about the music... it is testament to his abilities that it is often difficult to tell the traditional and the original apart."

Rowan was featured on the cover of The Living Tradition magazine and interviewed on a range of topics including his musical background; running a folk club; getting a younger generation involved in the folk scene; his Songhive project for the Bee Cause; five-string fiddling and sean-nós singing.
